Today 40 ants arrived in the post for our ant farm - I can't wait for Alfie to get home from school so we can put them into their new home!

I had no idea that you could buy ants. Heck, I've been stamping on them and they've been going to waste.
LOL - yes they come in a box of 40 for £4 -- Yes -I know I could collect my own but it is difficult and frankly I have better things to do with my life!
That's very interesting. I must go and research how much a tube of Nipon or some other, similar ant killer costs and work out how many ants can be killed per £4 of the product. My hypothesis would be that it is cheaper to pay to kill them than to buy them. Cheaper still to stamp on them, of course. I wonder how long it takes to collect 40 ants. Just one more question: is postage extra and if so, how much?
And another thing - I hope they're easier to contain than Bob.
