Tonight we managed to get to Bucham Park for the Amphibian Amble which was FAB! We started off by pond dipping for stickleback and newts and moved on to a walk around the lake counting the toads which were appearing to find their way to the lake to mate. We saw 16 all together and the Ranger was really pleased as last year there were not so many.
It was a really great experiance to be in the park at night. It was very dark and we were not best prepared as our torches keep failing! Next year we shall go again and buy a better one! We all enjoyed it and now Alfie is worn out and in bed so we are enjoying a glass of wine! Hoorah - its the weekend!
